These terms govern your use of ampacity.ai (the "Service"), operated by the operator of ampacity.ai ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
ampacity.ai helps electrical contractors and the engineers who work with them turn photographs and manual entries of panel schedules into a structured, calculated electrical record.
We add capability over time. A feature described as available today may change, and a feature we list as planned may be delayed, changed, or not built at all. We label every capability on our marketing pages accordingly, and we do not guarantee a delivery date for anything not yet available.
You need an account to use the Service beyond scanning a public panel label. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for activity under your account.
We currently offer a 14-day free trial, no credit card. After the trial, continued use of a paid plan is billed at the price and interval shown to you at signup and on our pricing page, which is the only place we quote a price -- these terms do not state one.
You may cancel a subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless we say otherwise.
The Service screens the panel data you give it, keeps a record of it, and tracks changes to it over time. It does not replace the judgment, review, or seal of a licensed engineer.
Any load calculation, capacity figure, or other output the Service produces or displays must be reviewed by a qualified person before you rely on it, and, where your jurisdiction or your organization requires it, approved and sealed by a licensed professional engineer before it is used for construction, permitting, or a safety decision. You remain responsible for verifying that anything the Service produces is accurate and fit for how you intend to use it.
Use the Service only for lawful purposes and only for electrical systems you own, operate, or are authorized to document. Do not attempt to disrupt the Service, access an account or facility you are not authorized to see, or use the Service to build a competing product.
When you sign up, we record the marketing campaign, source, and referral information present in the link you followed to reach us -- for example UTM parameters and ad-click identifiers -- so we can tell which campaigns and pages bring in accounts. This information is stored on your account record. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, that we reasonably believe is fraudulent, or that has been inactive on a free plan past a limit we publish.
On request, we will export your data or delete it, subject to the retention rules in our Privacy Policy.
The Service is provided "as is." We do not warrant that it is error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose, and the "Professional responsibility" section above states what you must still verify independently.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
We may update these terms as the Service changes. We will post the updated terms here with a new "last updated" date, and, for a material change, we will make a reasonable effort to notify active accounts.
